Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money
We want playing with us to stay a leisure activity that you choose, control and can comfortably afford. Our games are built around chance, each round is independent of the one before it, and over time the odds favour the house. No system, staking pattern or run of play changes that, so the money you stake should always be money you are prepared to lose.
Before you deposit, decide what you can spend over the week or the month, in the same way you would budget for a meal out or a ticket to a match. Setting that figure as a deposit limit in your account means the decision is already made the next time you log in.
- Play only with money set aside for entertainment, never with money needed for rent, bills, food or repayments.
- Decide your budget and how long you will play before you start, not while a session is running.
- Never borrow to gamble, and never fund play with a loan or with money you have promised to someone else.
- Treat anything you win as part of the same budget; staking winnings back is easier than stopping.
- Avoid playing when you are upset, bored, under pressure or have been drinking.
- Take regular breaks, and stop for the day if you notice yourself trying to win back a loss.
Over-18s only
Gambling with us is restricted to adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the age and identity of every account holder. Any account found to belong to someone under 18 is closed, all winnings are void and deposits are returned.
The tools in your account and how to switch them on
Every safer gambling control sits in one place in your account settings, reachable from the cashier or the account menu whenever you are logged in. Setting a control is free, takes about a minute, and never affects your ability to withdraw the balance you already hold.
- Log in and open your account settings, then choose the safer gambling or limits area.
- Pick the control you want: a deposit, loss or session limit, a reality check, a time-out or self-exclusion.
- Enter the amount or the length of time you want to apply, then confirm.
- The control applies to your whole account on desktop and mobile, and is listed in your settings so you can check it at any time.
A tighter limit takes effect immediately. A request to raise or remove a limit is held for a cooling-off period before it can apply, and you can cancel that request while it is pending. We will never contact you to suggest loosening a control.
Deposit, loss and session limits
A deposit limit caps what you can pay in over a chosen period. A loss limit caps the net amount you can lose in that period, counting stakes against returns. A session limit ends your play after a set length of time. Choose the period that suits you from the options shown in your account; where more than one limit is active, the tightest one applies.
Time-outs and self-exclusion
A time-out is a short break during which you cannot deposit or play, although you can still withdraw your balance. Self-exclusion is a longer and firmer step: your account is closed to play for the minimum period shown in the cashier, you are removed from our marketing lists, and we will not reopen the account before that period ends. Once a time-out or self-exclusion has started, it cannot be lifted early, so pick a length you are confident about.
Reality checks
A reality check interrupts play at an interval you choose and shows how long you have been playing and what you have staked and won in that session. You can then carry on or close the game. It is a simple way to keep track of time, which is easy to lose while playing.
| Control | What it does | Can you still withdraw? |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps what you can pay in over your chosen period | Yes |
| Loss limit | Caps your net losses over your chosen period | Yes |
| Session limit | Ends play after a set length of time | Yes |
| Time-out | Short break with no deposits or play | Yes |
| Self-exclusion | Closes the account to play for a longer fixed period | Yes |
Signs that gambling may no longer be under control
Difficulties with gambling usually build up gradually, and the clearest signals are about behaviour and mood rather than the size of a stake. Go through the checklist below honestly. If two or more apply to you, treat that as a reason to set a limit or take a break today.
- You play for longer or stake more than you planned, and find it hard to stop.
- You gamble to win back money you have lost.
- You hide how much you play, or how much you spend, from family or friends.
- You borrow money, sell things or miss payments in order to keep playing.
- You play to escape stress, loneliness, boredom or low mood.
- Work, study, sleep, relationships or health are suffering because of your play.
- You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
- Gambling is on your mind for much of the day, whether or not you are playing.
If any of these feel familiar, the fastest practical step is to set a deposit or loss limit, or start a time-out, and then talk to one of the organisations listed below. You do not need to be in crisis to ask for help.
Where to get free, confidential help
Several UK organisations provide information, advice and treatment at no cost, for people who gamble and for anyone affected by someone else's gambling. They are not run by us, and nothing you tell them is shared with us.
- GambleAware publishes plain-English information about the risks of gambling, self-assessment tools and a directory of local and national treatment services.
- GamCare offers free counselling, structured treatment and peer support groups for people who gamble and for their families, in person and online.
- The National Gambling Helpline is staffed by trained advisers who can talk things through in confidence at any hour and refer you on to treatment.
- GamStop is the free national online self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks your access to the gambling sites of all operators licensed to serve customers in Great Britain, for a period you choose.
You can find these organisations by searching for them by name. Our live chat team and our support e-mail address, support@casino-luckyblock.co.uk, can also apply a limit, time-out or self-exclusion to your account for you if you would rather not do it yourself. Our staff are not trained counsellors and cannot give clinical advice, but they will act on your request and point you towards the services above.
Blocking payments and sites
Most banks and card providers let you switch on a gambling block in their app, and software is available that blocks gambling sites on a phone, tablet or computer. Used alongside self-exclusion, these measures make it much harder to act on an impulse.
Keeping under-18s away from gambling
Gambling by anyone under 18 is illegal, and preventing it is part of the licence conditions we work under. We check the age and identity of every customer before withdrawals and at other points during the life of an account, and we may ask for documents at any time. If we cannot confirm that a customer is 18 or over, we suspend the account until the checks are complete.
If you share a home or a device with children, a few simple habits make a real difference:
- Keep your log-in details private and do not let your browser save your password or payment card details.
- Log out fully when you finish playing, rather than leaving the session open.
- Install filtering or parental control software, and use the content controls built into devices and app stores to block gambling material.
- Set up separate user profiles so children cannot reach your account, and keep cards and banking apps secured.
- Talk to older children about why gambling is restricted to adults and how the odds work.
Allowing anyone under 18 to use your account with us breaches our terms. The account will be closed, any winnings will be void, and we may report the matter where we are required to do so.
