What personal data we collect

We collect the data we need to open and run your account, keep play fair and safe, and meet the duties placed on a licensed gambling operator. Most of it comes from you when you register, deposit or contact us. Some is created automatically while you use the site, and some comes from the verification partners that carry out checks on our behalf.

Account and contact details

  • Your name, date of birth, residential address, e-mail address and, where you give it, a mobile number.
  • Your username, password and the security details used to confirm it is you.
  • Your marketing choices and the channels you agreed to hear from us on.
  • Your safer gambling settings, including deposit limits, time-outs and any self-exclusion you ask for.

Identity and age verification documents

  • Copies or images of identity documents such as a passport or driving licence.
  • Proof of address and, where we are required to ask, information about the source of your funds.
  • The results of electronic checks against the databases our verification partners use.
  • A record of any check that could not be completed and the reason why.

Payment and play records

  • Deposits, withdrawals, balances and the payment methods shown in the cashier.
  • Bonus history, wagering progress and the terms attached to any offer you took part in.
  • Game and session activity, including stakes, outcomes and the times you played.

Device, usage and contact data

  • Your IP address, the approximate location taken from it, your device type, operating system and browser.
  • Pages you viewed, features you used, successful and failed log-ins, and error or crash data.
  • Live chat transcripts, e-mails, and notes of complaints or requests you make to our team.

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, measure how the site performs and, where you allow it, show you offers that fit your interests. What each type does, how long it lasts and how to change your choices are set out in our Cookie Policy, which you can open from the footer of any page and change at any time.

Why we use your personal data

We use your data for the following purposes and nothing wider:

  1. To open, run and secure your account, take deposits, pay withdrawals and apply bonuses.
  2. To confirm you are aged 18 or over and that you are who you say you are, as a holder of a gaming licence must.
  3. To prevent and detect fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, money laundering and the funding of crime.
  4. To meet our legal and regulatory duties, including record-keeping, reporting and responding to lawful requests.
  5. To watch for signs of gambling harm and to apply the limits, time-outs and exclusions you set.
  6. To answer your questions, look into complaints and keep a record of what was agreed.
  7. To keep the site stable and secure, and to understand which features players use.
  8. To send offers, bonuses and updates on the channels you opted into.

Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over

We must confirm your age before you can play, and we may repeat checks later. If we cannot confirm that you are 18 or over, we will close the account and return any deposits in line with our terms.

Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is needed for the purposes above, and only with the following kinds of recipient:

  • Payment and banking providers, so deposits and withdrawals can be processed through the methods shown in the cashier.
  • Identity-verification, age-verification and fraud-prevention partners who carry out checks on our behalf.
  • The national self-exclusion scheme for gambling, GamStop, where you register with it or where we must share an exclusion.
  • Game and platform suppliers who provide the games and services available through our site.
  • Hosting, security, analytics and customer-support providers acting on our written instructions.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, where they need the data to advise us.
  • Our gambling and data protection regulators, the police, tax and enforcement bodies, where the law requires or allows it.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business or part of it changes hands, subject to the same protections.

Anyone handling data for us is bound by contract to use it only as instructed, keep it secure and delete or return it when the work ends. Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep your personal data

We keep your data for as long as your account with us is open. After the account is closed, we keep it for the further period required of a licensed gambling operator, mainly for anti-money-laundering, tax, accounting and regulatory record-keeping. We do not shorten those periods at a customer's request, because we are not permitted to.

Some records are held for longer because of what they do. Self-exclusion and account-closure details are kept so that an exclusion can be honoured and the account is not reopened early. If you ask us to stop marketing, we keep the minimum details needed to make sure you are not contacted again. Live chat transcripts, security logs and dispute files are kept for the period set out in our internal retention schedule, after which data is deleted or anonymised so it can no longer identify you.

Your rights and how to use them

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  1. Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you and tell you how we use it.
  2. Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  3. Erase data where we no longer have a reason to keep it and no law requires us to.
  4. Restrict how we use your data while a question about it is being settled.
  5. Stop using your data where you object, including an absolute right to stop marketing.
  6. Send a copy of certain data to you or another provider in a portable format.
  7. Withdraw a consent you gave us, such as consent to marketing.
  8. Involve a person in a decision that was made only by automated means and affects you significantly.

Some checks on deposits, withdrawals and account activity are automated so that they run quickly and consistently. If one of those checks limits your account, you can ask us to look at the decision again with a member of staff involved.

To use any of these rights, write to support@casino-luckyblock.co.uk or use the live chat on the site; data protection requests can also be sent to privacy@casino-luckyblock.co.uk. Please use the e-mail address registered to your account and tell us what you need. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will answer within the time data protection law allows. Where we cannot act on a request, for example because we must keep a record by law, we will explain why.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first so we can look into it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, and you keep that right whether or not you raise the matter with us.

Safer gambling and free support

Deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are available in your account at any time, and we act on them as soon as they are set. Free, confidential help is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you exclude yourself from all gambling sites licensed in Great Britain.
